About Jerez
Roulage moto au Circuito de Jerez
Le Circuito de Jerez - Ángel Nieto, ouvert en 1985 et renommé en 2018 en hommage au légendaire pilote espagnol, est l'un des circuits les plus emblématiques du monde moto. Il accueille le Grand Prix d'Espagne MotoGP depuis 1987, et Marc Márquez y détient le record du tour en 1:38.051 (2019). Le circuit est aussi un lieu de tests pré-saison MotoGP grâce à son climat andalou. Les track days moto y sont réguliers, attirant des pilotes de toute l'Europe.
Caractéristiques du tracé
Le circuit mesure 4,42 km avec 13 virages (8 à droite, 5 à gauche) dans le sens anti-horaire. La piste en asphalte mesure en moyenne 11 m de large (10,8 m min / 12,9 m max), avec un dénivelé de 28 m. La ligne droite principale fait 607 m. La limite sonore est de 105 dB aux 3/4 du régime max — les contrôles sont stricts.
Le tracé a été modifié plusieurs fois : ajout de la chicane Senna en 1994 (utilisée uniquement par les voitures), resurfaçage en 2005 et 2008, adaptations des vibreurs en 2017.
Les virages clés
- Curva Dry Sac : virage serré à freinage intense, l'un des plus exigeants du tracé
- Curvas Crivillé-Ferrari : section rapide historique, enchaînement fluide
- Curva Lorenzo : virage qui prépare la dernière ligne droite, la vitesse de sortie est cruciale
- Chicane Ayrton Senna : ajoutée en 1994 après Imola, utilisée uniquement par les voitures en F1
Conseils de pilotage
Le tracé mélange des virages lents, moyens et rapides sur 3 secteurs distincts, exigeant un bon compromis de réglages. Les zones de freinage sont intenses, notamment à Dry Sac — travaillez le trail braking. La limite sonore de 105 dB est strictement contrôlée : utilisez un dB-killer ou un échappement d'origine, les motos non conformes sont exclues. Pensez à un tour de chauffe pour nettoyer les pneus avant d'attaquer.
Accès et informations pratiques
Le circuit est situé à Jerez de la Frontera, en Andalousie, à 1h de Séville et 2h30 de Malaga. L'aéroport de Jerez est à 15 minutes. Le climat andalou offre des conditions idéales quasiment toute l'année, ce qui en fait une destination track day prisée en hiver.
