About Albacete
Motorcycle Track Day at Circuito de Albacete
The Circuito de Albacete, inaugurated in September 1990, is the 4th permanent circuit built in Spain. Designed specifically for motorcycles with constant radius corners, it hosted the World Superbike from 1992 to 1999 (victories by Carl Fogarty, Aaron Slight...) and the FIM Endurance World Championship (2003-2011). The circuit underwent a major €1.1 million renovation in 2014-2015 with complete resurfacing and safety modifications.
Track Characteristics
The circuit is 3.55 km long with 13 corners (8 right, 5 left) in a clockwise direction. The asphalt track is 10 m wide. The track is relatively flat, emphasizing cornering technique rather than elevation changes. The sound limit is 105 dB at 5,000 rpm.
