The 3.7 km configuration of the Anneau du Rhin is the competition layout of the Biltzheim circuit, in Alsace. Approved FIA Grade 3 since October 2011, as well as FFSA and FFM, this configuration adds high-speed sections to the basic 3.0 km layout, including a main straight extended to over 1,000 meters and an extension after the "S du Sanglier". This additional 700 meters transforms the character of the circuit in favor of powerful machines, reminiscent of the spirit of the Circuit Paul Ricard.

Track and Characteristics of the Anneau du Rhin 3.7 km

The track extends over 3,700 meters in a clockwise direction with a track width of 10 meters. The main straight of over 1 km is the longest of the configuration and allows speeds well over 200 km/h. The technical sequences include the "S du Sanglier" and the "Courbe Adrénaline". The track is divided into a technical first sector followed by faster middle/end sections. The asphalt surface was redone in 2011-2012 with a widening of 1 meter. Sound limit: 95 dB.

Riding Tips on the 3.7 km Track

Compared to the 3.0 km track, the 3.7 km configuration requires more power and confidence in the fast areas. The straight of over 1 km allows for high speeds but requires perfectly calibrated braking. The S du Sanglier followed by the extended straight (+400 m) is the most engaging sequence on the track. Take advantage of the redone surface to exploit maximum grip, but stay vigilant in the Courbe Adrénaline at the end of the lap.
