Le circuit des Ecuyers: A Hilly Track in Picardy

The circuit des Ecuyers is a private circuit located in Beuvardes, in the Aisne department, just 1 hour from Paris. Founded by Franck Guittard, a farmer and passionate about mechanics, after a four-year project initiated in 2003, the circuit was designed by Philippe de Korsaki. Inaugurated on September 19, 2007 after obtaining FFM and FFSA prefectural approval, it is the only private circuit in the Aisne. Its hilly 3.5 km track with 17 turns and a 500-meter straight makes it a demanding and technical track, highly appreciated for driving courses and motorcycle track day events.

Track and Characteristics of the circuit des Ecuyers

The circuit des Ecuyers extends over 3.5 km in a clockwise direction, which can be modulated into configurations of 1.2 km, 2.3 km or 3.5 km. The track is 10 meters wide, widened to 12 meters in the turns. The track has 17 turns (10 right, 7 left) of great variety: fast turns, slow turns, hairpins, chicanes, parabola, and positive and negative cambers. The profile is naturally hilly with a difference in height of 3 to 5%. The main straight of 500 meters is followed by the "Droit de la Ferme", a fast right-hand curve. The run-off areas are wide (grass, gravel traps, tires), with a sound limit of 95 dB.

Riding Tips at the circuit des Ecuyers

The circuit des Ecuyers is physically demanding, especially for the thighs due to the many changes in support. During your first lap, follow the instructors in yellow bibs to memorize the 17 turns and warm up your tires gradually. Positive and negative cambers modify the behavior of the motorcycle - pay attention to areas where the camber changes direction. Brake early before the chicanes and the hairpin, then exploit the 500-meter straight to accelerate sharply. The slow/fast sequences require precision: each turn has two marked trajectory markers.

The circuit is located at Ferme de Fary, 02130 Beuvardes. From the A4 motorway, take exit 20 towards Soissons (D1), then D4 towards Épieds and D967 to Beuvardes. Allow about 1 hour from Paris, 65 km from Reims and 85 km from Paris. The main paddock of 8,000 m² offers a generous space, with stands with direct access to the circuit, changing rooms, showers, restaurant and guest rooms.
