About Maison Blanche

The Maison Blanche circuit: ride within the 24 Hours of Le Mans complex

The Maison Blanche circuit is a unique track in France: it is located in the heart of the 24 Hours of Le Mans circuit, sharing a portion of the legendary track between the exit of the Porsche curves and the entrance to the Ford chicanes. Created in 1976 on the site of the old Maison Blanche hamlet — an ultra-fast section of the original circuit removed in 1972 for safety reasons and replaced by the Porsche curve — it was completely renovated in 2007 to current safety standards. Today managed by the Motorsport Academy, it offers 5 track configurations ranging from 776 meters to 2.9 km, allowing each session to be adapted to the level of the riders.

Track and characteristics of the Maison Blanche circuit in Le Mans

In its maximum configuration of 2.9 km, the Maison Blanche circuit has 9 turns mixing slow and fast sections. The track is 9 to 12 meters wide depending on the sections, with a 40-meter elevation change that adds an additional technical challenge. Two straights punctuate the track, the main one using a portion of the 24 Hours circuit (~400 m). The safety zones include gravel traps, grass run-offs and tires. The direction of rotation is clockwise.

Riding tips at the Maison Blanche circuit

The Maison Blanche circuit particularly stresses the brakes and engine due to its hilly profile. Focus on mastering the technical turns at the entrance of the circuit before seeking speed. Changes in plane related to the elevation can destabilize the motorcycle — brake early before the slope areas. Adopt smooth trajectories by following the natural cambers, particularly at the Porsche curve. Consistency takes precedence over pure speed to properly memorize this compact and varied track.

Access to the Maison Blanche circuit from Le Mans

The circuit is located within the Bugatti / 24 Hours of Le Mans circuit, south of the city. Three main accesses: from the A11 (exit 9, Le Mans Sud / Allonnes, then Route de Tours / Le Verger / Le Cormier), from the N136 / A81 (exit 8, Arnage / Le Cormier), or from the A28 (exit 23, D323 / Arnage / Le Cormier). The circuit has a reception building with a 100 m² briefing room that can accommodate 90 people, changing rooms and showers.

Why ride at the Maison Blanche circuit?

Riding at Maison Blanche means immersing yourself in the history of motorsport. Sharing the track with a portion of the 24 Hours of Le Mans circuit creates an incomparable atmosphere. The technical and demanding track, with its 9 turns and 40 m of elevation change, challenges the riding of even experienced riders. The 5 available configurations allow the difficulty to be adapted to each level. The Motorsport Academy offers courses on exceptional cars: Ferrari 488 GTB, Lamborghini Huracán, Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS, McLaren 720S.
