Mallory Park Track Characteristics
Mallory Park is a compact circuit of 2.27 km, offering a technical challenge with its many turns. The track, made of asphalt, offers good grip and some slight undulations around a central lake, which promotes lean angles and overtaking. The track width is 14 meters. The direction of rotation is clockwise. The sound limit is set at 103 dB.
Riding Tips
Here are some tips for tackling the key corners of Mallory Park:
- Gerard’s Bend: Keep a tight line to link up well with Charlie’s Chicane. It's a fast, multi-apex corner.
- Devil’s Elbow: Be progressive with the throttle downhill to manage bucking on the Kirkby straight.
- Shaw's Hairpin: Stay to the right to block the inside and avoid daring overtakes. Prioritize a clean exit in first gear. It's the slowest corner on the circuit.
- Stebbe Straight and the Esses: Attack in third gear, but watch out for overtaking at Edwina’s due to an optical illusion.
