About Motorland Aragon

Motorcycle Track Day at Motorland Aragón

Motorland Aragón, inaugurated in 2009 in Alcañiz in the province of Teruel, is a FIA Grade 1 circuit designed by Hermann Tilke with the contribution of former F1 driver Pedro de la Rosa. It hosts the Aragon MotoGP Grand Prix and the World Superbike Championship, attracting thousands of enthusiasts every year. The circuit is also very popular for motorcycle track days thanks to its MotoGP-quality asphalt and generous run-off areas.

Track Characteristics

The circuit extends over 5.34 km with 17 turns (10 left, 7 right) in an anti-clockwise direction. The track is 12 m wide with a 50 m elevation change. The rear straight of 1,726 m, one of the longest in Europe, allows very high speeds to be reached before braking at La Caixa (T16).

Valentino Rossi described the track as "quite complicated but fun and fast". The mix of fast corners, technical hairpins and elevation changes makes it a complete and demanding circuit.

Key Corners

  • T8-T9 (The Corkscrew): the most technical section of the circuit, with a 7.2% descent comparable to the Corkscrew at Laguna Seca. Multi-apex left turn requiring precise throttle control
  • T16 (La Caixa): left hairpin at the end of the 1,726 m back straight, the most violent braking zone on the circuit
  • T17: uphill and banked turn, the exit speed here determines the speed on the entire main straight
  • T6-T7: blind crests with a downhill approach, a section reminiscent of the character of Laguna Seca

Riding Tips

The circuit is physically demanding with its 17 turns and constant elevation changes. Physical fitness and concentration are essential, especially on large-capacity motorcycles. The Corkscrew (T8-T9) requires several sessions to master - focus on fluidity and body positioning rather than speed. The sound limit is 107 dB.

Access and Practical Information

Motorland Aragón is located in Alcañiz, approximately 2h30 from Barcelona and 3h from Madrid. The 130-hectare complex has modern equipped pits, a vast paddock and a medical center. A karting circuit is also available on site. Book your track day booking to ride at Motorland Aragón today!
