About Valencia

Motorcycle Track Day at Circuit Ricardo Tormo

The Circuit Ricardo Tormo, inaugurated in 1999 in Cheste, 20 km from Valencia, is a FIA Grade 1 circuit unique in its amphitheater design, offering visibility of almost the entire track from the 120,000-seat grandstands. It hosts the MotoGP championship final since 2002, as well as World Superbike, DTM and Formula E. The circuit also organizes its own motorcycle track days with very accessible 30-minute sessions. If you are looking to ride at Circuit Ricardo Tormo, this is a great option!

Track Characteristics

The circuit is 4 km long with 14 turns (9 left, 5 right) in an anti-clockwise direction. The asphalt track is 12 m wide with a 25 m elevation change. The main straight of 876 m offers a good acceleration zone. The track has no noise limits during track days — a rare advantage for motorcycles with racing exhausts. Consider this when planning your track day booking.

Key Turns

  • Aspar (T1): hairpin at the end of the straight, excellent overtaking zone with heavy braking
  • T3-T4: technical sequence with green concrete on the curbs, wide trajectory at the entrance to T3
  • Ángel Nieto (T6): braking on the white concrete strip, trail braking to the apex without drifting
  • Doohan: hairpin, secondary overtaking zone
  • T9-T11: sequence to be treated as a whole — early acceleration at the exit of T9, T10 prepares the T11 hairpin
  • T12: unpredictable turn, early entry in 3rd gear

Riding Tips

Valencia is a momentum circuit: slow to medium speed turns dominate, and the exit speed of each corner conditions the next. Favor late braking followed by smooth trail braking in the hairpins. The track, dominated by left-handers (9 out of 14), suits riders who master this side. Use the inside curbs to optimize your trajectories — the grip is excellent. Enjoy your motorcycle track day!

Access and Practical Information

The circuit is in Cheste, 20 km west of Valencia, easily accessible from the A-3 highway. The official circuit track days are very affordable: 34 to 40 € per 30-minute session. Valencia Airport is 25 minutes away. Book your track day now!
