Motorcycle Track Day at Vallelunga
The Autodromo Vallelunga Piero Taruffi, the circuit of Rome, has a history dating back to 1951 when it was just a sand oval. Transformed into a road circuit in 1959 and then asphalt in 1963, it was enlarged in 2004-2005 with the addition of a long straight, a 180° hairpin and a motorcycle chicane at Trincea. The current layout of 4.11 km with 15 turns offers a technical challenge with its elevation changes and banked turns. Consider a track day booking to ride at Vallelunga.
Track Characteristics
The circuit is 4.11 km long with 15 turns in a clockwise direction. The track is 12 m wide. The layout offers a mix of multi-apex turns, fast sections and banked passages. The Semaforo and Tornantino (T11-T12) turns are the most demanding, testing experienced riders. A motorcycle track day here is a great experience.
Riding Tips
Vallelunga is a technical circuit that rewards consistency. The elevation changes affect grip — stay attentive in the banked turns. The Trincea chicane in the motorcycle section requires precision.
